A flyer for "Without Honor" from the Jack Tillmany collection. He comments: "This 1918 flyer is typical of what they used to hand out to patrons so they could identify the players in the film they were about to see or just saw."

It was renamed the Garden Theatre c.1922-1924, then the Halcyon Theatre (again) in 1924.

Closing: Sometime around 1926. Jack comments: "It may (or may not) have survived a year or two later, but, even if so, the Harding Theatre took care of it."

Status: Jack notes: "It still stands at 275 Divisadero (west side, north of Haight), and for more years than anybody can remember has proudly identified itself as Ebenezer Baptist Church."

A c.1968 photo of the building taken by Tom Gray. Thanks to Jack Tillmany for sharing this from his collection.
