Opening: This converted industrial building opened as the Eureka Theatre on January 16, 1985. The location was on the north side of the street just west of Harrison. The October 1986 photo is by Tom Gray. Thanks to Jack Tillmany for sharing it.
Before opening here the company had been at 2299 Market St. See the page about that first Eureka Theatre, a church building that burned in 1981.
Closing: The company closed at this location on March 1, 1992. Thanks to Jack Tillmany for the research.
Status: The building is still on 16th, looking relatively unchanged.
In 1998 the Eureka Theatre Company ended up at the venue that had been the Gateway Cinema, 215 Jackson St.
